About the event

Dear Alumnae, dear Alumni, dear Friends,

Berlin,  Germany’s capital and largest city by both area and population, is a  world city of culture, politics, media and science. Its economy is based  on high-tech firms and the service sector, encompassing a diverse range  of creative industries, research facilities and media corporations.  Berlin continues to be Germany’s start-up capital and is a centre of  innovation and research for future concepts such as connected mobility,  climate change reduction, intelligent energy provisioning. During this  year’s annual meeting we will not only dive into Berlin’s start-up scene  but also learn about the 44 years of political prosecution in the GDR.

On Saturday afternoon, we will visit the Memorial Berlin-Hohenschönhausen,  the former GDR Stasi prison. Contemporary witnesses will give us an  authentic impression of the prison conditions between 1946 and 1990. You  are welcome to explore the permanent exhibition “Witness of Political  Prosecution” showing 300 photos…
