The Board runs and steers the association and is elected for a two year term at the Annual General Meeting.
Pia is leading the German Friends of LSE as president of our club since 2016. Prior to this, she served as member of the board and vice president since 2008. She also served at the Executive Committee of the global LSE Alumni Association from 2013-2020. Pia graduated from LSE with a M.Sc. in International Accounting and Finance in 1998. She is based in Frankfurt and works as management consultant, focusing on IT-transformation and change programs in the financial industry
Manuel is serving as vice president of the German Friends of LSE since 2016 and focuses mainly on communication and media activities. He joined the team in 2012 as member of the committee after he graduated from LSE with a M. Sc. in International Management in 2011. Manuel is based in Düsseldorf and works as Head of Storage Development Europe for RWE Renewables.
Our Regional Coordinators are the first points of contact for members and people interested in joining us in the respective region. They also regularly organize events. The Regional Coordinators are appointed by the Board.
