About the event

Dear Alumnae, dear Alumni, dear Friends,

Hamburg is one of Germany’s most distinctive cities: a historic trading centre, a major international port, and a place where maritime heritage, urban transformation and global connections meet. Its Speicherstadt, waterways, port facilities and neighbourhoods tell the story of a city shaped by commerce, shipping, migration and civic life. This year’s Annual Meeting will explore Hamburg through two closely connected perspectives: as a historic trading centre and as one of Europe’s great port cities.

We will begin on Friday evening, for those already in Hamburg, with dinner on board the Feuerschiff, followed by a visit to Miniatur Wunderland, one of Hamburg’s best-known attractions and the world’s largest model railway exhibition, combining engineering, storytelling and urban landscapes from across the globe.
