LSE Alumni Oktoberfest Networking Event

Dear Alumni, dear Friends,

We cordially invite you to our LSE Alumni Oktoberfest Event on 4 October 2024.

We will start early enough to enjoy both two faces of the unique  atmosphere of Oktoberfest, which gradually transformed from a (rather)  family friendly fun fair in the morning into a raging beer party at  night.

We will meet at Café am Beethovenplatz at 11 am for coffee, to gather the group, and to hand out the food and drink vouchers.

We will then jointly walk to the Oktoberfest together and take our reserved seats at the famous Hofbräu Festzelt. It is famous for its international audience and the raging party atmosphere. We have reserved seats from 12 pm until 5 pm.

After 5 pm, we will have to leave our table. You can either stay in the main area of the tent and continue partying or join in a stroll across the Octoberfest to enjoy the atmosphere of the colourful lights in the dusk. We will  show you some of the more traditional rides which are fun to either  watch or ride, like the Toboggan, the Schichtl, the Teuflelsrad or the Motodrom.  We will stop to join any ride you please on the way and can always stop  at one of the numerous booths or the outside area of the tents for more  food or dinks.

The participation fee for members is 50 € and for non-members 70 €.  The fee includes the reservation at Hofbräu Festzelt, Bavarian starter  (“Brotzeitbrettl”), a voucher for one traditional grilled half chicken  (“halbes Hendl”), two “Maß” Oktoberfest beer (two one-liter keg of  Octoberfest beer) and a general consumption voucher of 15 €.

Please note that any other rides or drinks will have to be paid for  individuality. Please also bear in mind that Germany and Oktoberfest in  particular are notorious for having very limited card payment options,  so please make sure to bring sufficient cash.

Please register by Sunday, 29 September by  completing the online registration form. We ask members to log into the  intranet when registering themselves, so that the correct, reduced rate  for members is shown. Please either pay by direct debit (“Lastschrift”)  or by Paypal to info@lsealumni.de.

If you are paying by Paypal and have not paid by 29 September, your  place may be cancelled. If you cancel your registration up to one week  prior to the event, we will refund your fee.
