About the event
Dear alumni, dear friends,
We are pleased to invite you to a visit to the European Space Agency (ESA) at the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt on Friday, 13 March 2026, starting at 2.45 pm.
ESA is Europe’s gateway to space, coordinating space activities among its Member States and shaping Europe’s overall space strategy. The Agency is responsible for the development and operation of space missions in areas such as Earth observation, navigation, telecommunications, space science, and human spaceflight.
Located in Darmstadt, the European Space Operations Centre is ESA’s main mission control centre and oversees the operations of most ESA spacecraft throughout their entire mission lifecycle.
The visit will provide insights into ESA’s mission operations, current activities, and future missions. The programme will be complemented by an exchange session / coffee break as well as a guided tour of the facilities.
