Invitation to the German Symposium at LSE

The German Society will host its annual German Symposium from 5 to 8 February at the LSE. With the guiding motto ‘Pioneering Change’, they wish to focus on the challenges Germany faces in a world of rapid modernisation. Too often, key actors lack the initiative to take charge and Germany finds itself lagging behind. They want to ask: How can Germany be pioneering change? How can we stop merely reacting to changes and instead become proactive, nationally, in Europe and in the world?

In that, they have invited leading figures, eminent innovators and some of the brightest heads of German politics, business, public and arts. What are the trends of today and tomorrow? Which strategies should be employed to advance and stay ahead? What kind of country does Germany want to be and how can it succeed? This year’s Symposium is about the future and how to make it our present.

Have a look at the website of the German Symposium for all speakers and details. If you are in London during the Symposium and would like to attend one of the events, please reach out to Lara Briechle, General Secretary of the German Society, to get a reserved seat (first come, first served).
