Happy New Year 2022 from the German Friends of LSE

Updated: Nov 27, 2022

We hope you and your loved ones had a happy festive season? We would like to wish you health and happiness and all the best for the New Year 2022.

Looking back, our activities were once again impacted by the ongoing, dynamic Covid pandemic. Nevertheless we recently organised events in line with local Covid protection rules such as a guided tour of the Picasso exhibition at Museum Ludwig in Cologne and our traditional Christmas goose dinner in Frankfurt with 16 participants attending. All participants thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with each other.

We also completed the review of the internal processes and systems to improve our administration. The key results of this initiative were our revamped website and a new members' intranet with an underlying software tool for the administration of our association.

Looking forward, we hope that we will be able to organise in-person events in spring and summer depending on the development of the pandemic. If you would like to get involved, please contact us by email to

Best wishes,

Pia Wagner, President,

for the Board of the German Friends of LSE
