On 26 and 27 October, 70 alumni joined the annual meeting 2019 in Berlin. The annual meeting started on Saturday with a tour of the EUREF campus, where we explored new developments in electric mobility, virtual reality and energy. In the evening, we enjoyed a reception and dinner at the prestigious Berlin Capital Club next to Gendarmenmarkt and Professor Michael Cox from the LSE talking about "Can the West survive the Populist Challenge?"
His lecture sparked a lively and extensive Q&A session and many discussions among alumni afterwards.
On Sunday, we toured the parliament district and the Reichstag building and got some insights and anecdotes about the workings of our parliament before finishing the event with a late lunch at Restaurant Borchardt.
