Recap: LSE European Institute Panel Discussion

Updated: Oct 19, 2021

On 6 June, a panel discussion on "Social Media and the Politicization of European Politics: curse or blessing?“ chaired by Prof. Simon Glendinning, Head of the European Institute took place at the Humboldt Graduate School Berlin. The panel speakers included professors, academics and researchers from the LSE, Hertie School of Governance, Berlin Social Science Center, College of Europe and the Bertelsmann Foundation. Also one of our alumni, now a member of the German Bundestag, sat on the panel.

The interesting panel speeches were followed by a lively discussion among alumni and speakers and a reception, during which alumni had the opportunity to network as well as further discuss the topic with the speakers. We were honoured that Jeremy Issacharoff, fellow alumnus and current Ambassador of Israel to Germany, had also joined us for the event.

Many thanks to the European Institute for hosting such an excellent event for our alumni, as well as to all speakers and alumni for the lively and interesting discussion.
